Exercise is quite capable of helping you to remove the lumpy look of cellulite from your body. Making a few changes to your diet in combination with exercise will speed up the process greatly.
What exactly is cellulite? Some may disagree, but this cottage cheese like substance is nothing more than accumulated fat.
All of our bodies require a certain amount of fat, but when we choose to eat more fat than we need, our bodies begin to store up the excess. Where your body holds the fat may greatly depend on hereditary factors.
Although women over 30 usually are the prime targets for this problem, when it comes to cellulite anyone can fall victom. I am a perfect example of this very issue.
I use to be covered with cellulite, it was on my legs, thighs, and buttocks. It was to the point that I wouldn't wear shorts, bathing suits, skirts, or anything else that showed my dimpled skin. I wasn't over weight, nor was I close to thirty years old.
I was in my early twenties when I noticed my first patch of cellulite creeping down the back side of my legs. I only weighed 120 pounds, and I was 5 foot 4 inches tall.
I didn't think that I would ever have to worry about cellulite, boy was I wrong.
After seeing the beginning marks of cellulite setting in, I immediately ran out searching for a cure. I tried everything- creams, lotions, herbs, oils, pills, massage machines, body brushes, and even accupuncture. Almost a whole year had passed by, and my cellulite rippled skin was getting worse, not better. I couldn't stand the sight of my own body any more!
I decided to do some research on cellulite, after all I really didn't know much about it other than I hated it the way it made me look, and feel.
That's when I discovered the real solution to eliminating cellulite. Diet, and exercise alone are the two most powerful remedies when it comes to removing cellulite.
Now you don't have to follow a very restricted type of diet here. I'm talking about a diet of less fat, less sodium, more fiber, and plenty of water. This in combination with special anti-cellulite targeted exercises can get you your body back in no time at all. A workout routine specializing in toning, and cardio will do the trick.
Exercise, and diet have been the most effective tools that I have found to combat cellulite.
I could tell that it was working within the first two weeks, and by week four my cellulite problem was completely gone. I look better than I ever have, and the best part is that I feel better about myself.
